Bio

Amanda Glaza serves as the Assistant Athletic Director and Success Coach for Montcalm Community College (MCC). In addition to her full-time role, she also works as an Adjunct Instructor at MCC teaching College Success Skills for the 21st Century. 
 
Prior to her time at MCC, Glaza spent 5 years at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC). She served in a number of roles at GRCC, including Athletic Department Intern, Student-Athlete Navigator and as an Assistant Volleyball Coach. 
 
She received an Associate's of Arts Degree from GRCC in 2014, a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management and a Business minor from Grand Valley State University (GVSU) in 2017 before earning a Master of Education degree from GVSU in 2023. 
 
While attending GRCC, Glaza was a member of the volleyball team for the 2013 and 2014 seasons where she started as the team's libero. During her two seasons with the Raiders, the team went undefeated in conference play, won the NJCAA Region XII Championship, and finished in the top 5 at the NJCAA DII National Championships and finished with an overall record of 60-14. After graduating from GRCC, Glaza transferred to GVSU where she was a member of the volleyball team for the 2015-2016 seasons. She finished her career with 1,323 digs, 256 assists, and 82 service aces, two-time all-conference honoree, two-time all-tournament team honoree and was named to the GLIAC All-Academic team. 
 
The athletic department at Montcalm Community College is working to build programs in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s bowling, clay target shooting, men’s golf and women’s volleyball. As a department, they work to shape the culture to be student-athlete centered, to have all efforts focused to create a more positive experience for the athletes and to present more opportunities to further benefit their future.
