Bio
Zach Ingles, a native of Gowen, Michigan, enters his 13th year of coaching. Ingles comes to us after recently completing his tenure at Belding High School. While under Ingles’ leadership at Belding, the program grew from 1 win in 2022, to 5 wins in 2023 to a school record 16 in 2024. The 2023-2024 team surpassed the win total from the previous 9 years combined, endured its first winning season since 1993, while also setting 12 school records along the way.
Prior to his tenure at Belding, Ingles spent two seasons at Chippewa Hills High School, where he grew the programs win total in each of his two COVID shorten seasons there. Ingles arrived at Chip Hills from Olivet College, where he served as the Women’s Head coach from 2015-2018. At Olivet, he inherited a program with only 7 players. Ingles would go on to grow the roster and the win total in each of his three seasons at the MIAA school.
Ingles, who also led a program resurgence at Tri County High School, also has coaching stops at Grand Rapids CC, Muskegon CC and Aquinas College.
Before his coaching career began, Ingles played professionally in Europe, Asia and South America for the better part of five seasons. Ingles played his collegiate ball for two years at Pasco Hernando State College (FL) where he was a 2003-2004 NJCAA All American. He would then move on to Eastern Kentucky University, where he would help lead the Colonels to the 2004 NCAA Tournament.
Ingles and his wife have two daughters and reside in the area.
