Hannah Reed, a versatile and determined three-sport athlete from Cedar Springs High School, was a standout in cross country, track, and basketball. Her drive is fueled by overcoming adversity, most notably after a car crash prior to her freshman cross country season. Despite minor injuries, the experience instilled in her a greater appreciation for competing and pushing through hard times.
Her top varsity finish in cross country was a seventh place showing at the Sparta Invitational in her senior year. Hannah was voted the most-improved runner on her XC team. In track, she specialized as a middle- and long-distance runner and was a regular participant in distance relays.
On the basketball court, Hannah’s cross country training gave her a significant edge, helping to build her mental confidence and stamina. She was a valuable member of her senior-year team, which went 19-4. However, the highlight of her career came during her freshman season, where she scored 16 points against Forest Hills Eastern. Specializing in defense and late-game situations, Hannah plays with great effort and energy both on and off the court.
Now a two-sport athlete for the Centurions, running cross country and playing basketball, Hannah also joined the MCC bowling team during her freshman year. She chose MCC because of the welcoming staff and coaches who made her decision easy. She enjoys how easily she can interact with her teammates and coaches and loves coming to practices and games, no matter the outcome. Hannah is majoring in psychology.
