Joslyn was a two-sport athlete at Alma High School, where she ran both cross country and track for the Panthers. Her competitive nature and willingness to give her all in every race drove her success, but also led to a significant challenge. As a sophomore, she was part of the Panthers’ first regional title in 34 years, but she ran three races with soreness in her leg that was later diagnosed as fractures.
After recovering from her injury, Joslyn's times were slower during her junior season. However, her hard work and determination paid off, and she ultimately improved her personal record by almost two full minutes in her senior year, earning her a third-team All-Conference nod. In track, she competed for four years as a distance runner, specializing in the 800-, 1,600-, and 3,200-meter races while also participating in the 4x800-meter relay.
She chose MCC to continue both her education and her cross country career. Her favorite thing about the college is the scenic Kenneth J. Lehman Nature Trails. Joslyn is currently working toward her associate degree in science and arts with the goal of pursuing a career in the health field.
